      Hosta College major change is a VERY EARLY registration & the JVS Center construction.

      For 2012 registration will be $42 to cover added expenses for the Hosta plug everyone receives at registration. Registration will be as follows:

      • January 6, at midnight: Board members & Teachers
      • January 13 at midnight: Members
      • January 25 at midnight: General Public
      • February 1 registration closes!

       

      Hosta College will still be at Piqua BUT the JVS Center is going through major construction & half of the regular classrooms we used for Hosta College, will not be available. Vending & Bookstore will be together in one room & Park-a-Plant will be adjacent in the next room. We will probably be using the Annex Building, which means you will need to go out of the main building to enter/exit the annex. The plan is to have signs everywhere so you don’t get lost.

      FYI: Bookstore prices are at least 25% off regular prices. You can also send suggestions/request books or items in advance. Send it to Alicia: Pitvp@aol.com

      As with past years we are requesting your ENTHUSIASTIC PARTICIPATION in procuring Teachers & Door Prizes. Teachers are volunteers who are willing to share their personal experiences not only with Hosta cultivation but any gardening expertise. Teachers’ registration & banquet fees are waived if they teach 2 classes. Everyone who donates a Door Prize is recognized at the door prize table.

      For 2012, the Board wants to remind everyone encourage Young People to participate. As such, registration for young people starting at 12 yrs old, will be emphasized.

      AND don’t forget the AUCTION on Friday night! If everything with the web site goes as plan, you’ll be able to print a list of the plants that would be available. There maybe photos also. (Still a work in progress!)
